Marc holds a B.F.A. in Acting (2000) from the University of Windsor and has subsequently trained at the Stratford Festival Conservatory (2001), International Residency at Shakespeare’s Globe (U.K., 2004) and The Banff/Citadel Robbins Academy (2012).
He has worked for 17 years as an actor, director, producer and teacher and has worked at many of Canada’s finest theatres– among them TNB, STC, Regina’s Globe, Persephone, The Citadel, Soulpepper, and the Stratford Festival. He has spent much of his career working on the plays of William Shakespeare having performed the Bard’s work at Shakespeare by the Sea (Halifax), Theatre by the Bay (Barrie), DareDen (Toronto), St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival (Prescott) and Shakespeare in the Ruff (Toronto). He has experience teaching at the high school and university levels and loves working with both student and professional actors.
As a producer, he has produced both staged readings as well as full productions – the most recent of which was a one week Equity workshop of Mrs. Warren by Richard Waugh (an adaptation of GBS’s Mrs. Warren’s Profession) in the fall of 2015. He is thrilled to be tacking the role of Kent in this unique look at King Lear.
